WHO ARE WE?

Bringing Purpose, Empowerment, and Lasting Change to Lives Behind Bars

At Bringing In The Sheaves (B.I.T.S) Foundation,we believe that no story is too broken to be rewritten. Founded in 2017 by Mani Ojeah, our mission is to restore hope and equip prison inmates and ex-inmates with the tools, mindset, and skills they need to rebuild their lives.

We work inside and beyond Nigeria’s prison walls, delivering spiritual guidance, legal support, vocational training, and ongoing mentorship. Through a multi-dimensional approach, we help transform men and women from forgotten prisoners to empowered individuals with dignity, purpose, and a future.

Our Vision

Our vision is to bring about developmental change to inmates and er-inmates by reaching out to different correctional facilities through strategic interventions. We have developed innovative methods and solutions in tackling issues such as illiteracy, mental poverty, and soul and spirit development

Our Mission

To provide comprehensive rehabilitation, empowerment, and reintegration services to prison inmates and ex-inmates through spiritual transformation, vocational training, legal aid, and ongoing support programs.

Why We Exist

In Nigeria today, over 70,000 inmates are held in facilities built for half that number. Most are awaiting trial, while others cycle in and out due to a lack of support, education, or opportunity. Without intervention, recidivism remains high, and true rehabilitation is rare.

That’s where we come in. At BITS by MANI, we believe the solution isn’t just to reform, but to transform. Through our faith-rooted and skill-based programs, we offer inmates a chance not just to survive, but to thrive.
We believe every life has value, even behind bars.

The Why We believe, What We believe at Bits By Mani

Why Our Work Matters

Prison life in Nigeria is far harsher than many realize.

  • Overcrowding: With some facilities holding three to four times their designed capacity, living conditions are inhumane.

  • Justice Delays: Over 70% of Nigeria’s prison population is awaiting trial—some for years.

  • Lack of Rehabilitation: Many leave prison without skills, hope, or direction, making re-offending almost inevitable.

  • Systemic Inequality: Innocent individuals often end up behind bars simply because they lack legal representation or financial means.

At BITS by MANI, we believe the solution isn’t just to reform—but to transform. Through our faith-rooted and skill-based programs, we offer inmates a chance not just to survive, but to thrive.

Founder's Story

About Bits by Mani: The heart behind B.I.T.S Foundation

Mani Ojeah founded B.I.T.S Foundation in 2017 after witnessing firsthand the challenges faced by inmates and ex-inmates in Nigeria’s correctional system. With a deep conviction that every person deserves a second chance, Mani began visiting prisons and discovered the urgent need for comprehensive rehabilitation programs.

“I believe that transformation is possible for everyone. When we invest in rehabilitation rather than just punishment, we create safer communities and restore broken lives. This is the heart of what B.I.T.S Foundation represents – bringing in the harvest of transformed lives.”
